Many times we offend people with the boundaries that we implement for our life. What can we do? Forget our values for a moment? Allow people into our extended boundaries?

Doing none of that is okay.

Here are 5 STAR Points to consider when you are questioning your own boundaries.

1. Remember your why!

Remember how unfulfilling life was when you compromised your values for others? You were not operating in your true authentic self when you allowed unacceptable behavior towards you. You felt exhausted and empty. Probably left emotionally unstable and filled with hurt feelings. You never want to feel like that again, so you got you some boundaries! Good for you!🎉

2. You are fabulous!

You are quite aware of your values. If others choose not to receive you as you receive yourself, then they are not worth your time. You deserve better boo!

3. You have been through enough already!

It no longer serves you go through the same bad experiences over and over again. You’re to fabulous for that. You are too busy seeking the positive things in life. There’s no need to make yourself available to be hurt by someone who does not respect who you are.

4. You are focused on living your best life.

You have no desire to go back and forth with people about what boundaries you implement to protect your life. You just set them and adjust. Your red flags come up as needed, it’s not like you are calling for them. The universe agrees with what you implement for your life. The signs appear and you adjust when appropriate. Unfortunately, that is at the expense of the person who is trying to cross your boundaries, not you.

5. You get to sleep peacefully at night.

Protecting your heart and your best interest is your thing. When you stand firm to your boundaries you won’t be disappointed with yourself later. You get to sleep peacefully, knowing that you stood up for your self worth and not self sabotage your best interest for the benefit of others bad behavior towards you.

Be proud of yourself for standing your ground by not allowing yourself to be compromised to please others.

Are you afraid of not being perfect? It’s natural to feel this way, especially when in early stages of something uncomfortable. But don’t let your imperfections get in the way of you being the perfect one to do this. Facing inner challenges can be a great way to overcome fears and build self-confidence.

Here are some tips to help you overcome challenges and build self-esteem and confidence:

  1. Choose the Right Challenge

Choose the right challenge. Things like your business idea, personal growth, a relationship, etc. Identify a definite purpose to achieve and set a definite plan. Fall in love with your definite plan and purpose and never give up on it.

  1. Take Action

Take a step today. Make a phone call, sign up for a course or group, consult with a coach. Do something that you haven’t already done to start moving forward.

  1. Healthy Habits

Keeping track of your progress and celebrate your achievements on the journey as a habit. Train your mind to expect celebration of accomplishments, take selfies or write journal entries to document your progress.

  1. Study the Journey of Other Leaders

If you resist challenging yourself, consider seeing what others went through. Study a leader in your chosen field, a person who got through challenges and support those who share your journey. Encourage each other and celebrate your progress together. This will help you build your self-esteem and stay motivated.

  1. Failure is only Defeat IF you accepted it as so

Failure, it’s a natural part of the learning process. Embrace growth and learning opportunities. When you face fears and overcome challenges, you’ll build your self-esteem and become more confident in your abilities to be resilient.m

  1. Accept Your Imperfections: Recognize that imperfection is a natural part of growth and development. Accepting flaws allows you to move past them and see how awesome you are.
  2. Embrace Challenges: Instead of shying away from challenges due to fear of failure, find the seed of equal or greater benefit. Each challenge presents an opportunity for growth and learning.
  3. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself when you fall short of your expectations. Treat yourself with the same empathy and understanding that you offer to your friends for encouragement.
  4. Manage Expectations: See the goals you set as hard to do. While working towards achieving them, focus on who you are becoming and measure your results from that too.
  5. Cultivate Self-Confidence: Build confidence in your abilities by focusing on your accomplishments and strengths you already have achieved. Remind yourself of past successes and trust in your ability to overcome obstacles as you have done many times before.

Building confidence is a journey, not a destination. It requires consistent effort and a willingness to embrace challenges. But with time and practice, you’ll see progress and achieve your milestones. Think Like a STAR, and keep moving forward, even when things get tough.

If you’re feeling stuck it’s important to recognize that you may be holding yourself back from success. You may have several alibis of why this happens but none of them are true. They may seem true, and it is what you have believed.

For many years I blamed how other people treated me and made me feel was the cause of me loosing focus and energy to achieve my goals, but in fact, it was my mind allowing those things to hold me back. As long as it took me to realize it was me was as long as it took to move forward.

My mother said I shouldn’t

It’s not the right time

I have other things to do, etc

To build your self-confidence and open up new possibilities, you must take those risks anyway. There will always be several reasons you tell yourself you shouldn’t and there may be people around that makes you feel like it’s impossible. But none of that matters. All that matters is your self belief and determination. No one can take that from you, you would have to give that away yourself.

Procrastination and Self Sabotage are complex behaviors that can be caused by a variety of factors such as psychological, emotional and even situational factors. Many people may procrastinate and engage in self-sabotage because they are afraid of failure, lack confidence on their abilities or having difficulty setting and achieving goals.

A little understanding the conditioning of the human body and the brain in relation to what your body cells are conditioned to doing. There is a certain rule set that your mind and body is accustomed to, and when we decided that we are going to stop and do something amazing that your inner programming is not accustomed to, eventually, your inner programming wins.

The good news is that there is new information available that helps us understand why procrastination starts and how we can overcome it.

Here are 5 STAR Points that will help you address the issue of procrastination and self-sabotage and shift yourself into the direction you intend to go. Four of these you probably never heard before.

  1. Self-Mastery beats Knowledge Mastery. I say this to say that you already know what to do, but you don’t do what you know it’s a self-mastery issue. Self Mastery can help you understand your motivations, triggers and habits related to procrastination and self sabotage. By better understanding yourself, you can learn how to overcome the behaviors of procrastination.
  2. Open up to your Subconscious. This is where the programming of your limiting beliefs lives. Something inside of you is telling you that this not going to happen because deep down you don’t really believe it. Opening up to your subconscious can help you overcome limiting beliefs and negative self-talk that may be holding you back. When you address those things, you attempt to change your subconscious wiring, and this can help you believe that you can do it and you become more proactive to ending self-sabotage. If these two tips alone are resonating with you, I have a resource to share with you that will help you understand how this works. This brings me to my next point.
  3. Body Cell Mastery or Breaking Cell Inertia. Earlier, I mentioned your body cells being conditioned. The truth is that environment beats will-power. Your body adapts to the environment you put it in and that’s the Law of Conformity. Law of Conformity is environment beats will power overtime. An easy way to explain this is examine which environment is your body cells conditioned to living in. If your body cells are conditioned to moving south all the time, they are not going to easily allow you to go north because they are not dressed for that weather and they enforce you to move back into the direction in which they are adapted to living in. So, when your inner programming is set one way, your cells are not equipped to move because you decided to have one change in thought for the moment. This is when the negative self-talk, self-doubt and self-sabotage creeps in and tells you to do things you normally do and not that new thing you want to do that normally do. Okay, is this making sense? I hope so. Once you understand that it’s no you. There’s nothing wrong with you. It’s just the body cells waging war against what it’s used to. Breaking Cell Inertia is something I encourage you to keep in mind when procrastination comes up. Once you move your body cells past this, it helps you overcome habits of inaction and get moving towards your goals.
  4. Engaged Neuro Conditioning. There is a saying out there that goes like, “All successful people train for the marathon, not the sprint.” Your brain must be engaged enough to attract and hold the attention of the desired goal in order to complete it. Training your brain for the long run helps you recondition your thoughts because you are now quite aware that unexpected things happen in a marathon and you engaging in the activity of allowing your brain to be re-conditioned as needed. You will be able to adapt to change and your body cells follow that adaptation. Your body cells always send messages to your brain to fit the way you think. They want to fit the clothes that they are conditioned to wearing. Be able to change the wardrobe of your body cells during the process will help you stop procrastinating.
  5. Commit to effective action. If you don’t take action once you break the cell inertia, your body cells go back to their previous default. This is part of mastering yourself. You are aware what your body is doing and telling you what not to do and you have the tools to adapt to the engagement of a different thinking pattern. Now you must act before the old thinking patterns starts to kick in again. Comitting to an effective action plan is the key to ending procrastination and self-sabotage. This involves doing the very thing you were procrastinating on from the beginning. Take action on that while your cells are agreeing. The only reason they are agreeing is because you changed your mind. In conclusion, by taking these points and making these shifts, you can develop the internal skills and the mindset necessary to overcome procrastination and self-sabotage to achieve your goals.
