Procrastination and Self Sabotage are complex behaviors that can be caused by a variety of factors such as psychological, emotional and even situational factors. Many people may procrastinate and engage in self-sabotage because they are afraid of failure, lack confidence on their abilities or having difficulty setting and achieving goals.

A little understanding the conditioning of the human body and the brain in relation to what your body cells are conditioned to doing. There is a certain rule set that your mind and body is accustomed to, and when we decided that we are going to stop and do something amazing that your inner programming is not accustomed to, eventually, your inner programming wins.

The good news is that there is new information available that helps us understand why procrastination starts and how we can overcome it.

Here are 5 STAR Points that will help you address the issue of procrastination and self-sabotage and shift yourself into the direction you intend to go. Four of these you probably never heard before.

  1. Self-Mastery beats Knowledge Mastery. I say this to say that you already know what to do, but you don’t do what you know it’s a self-mastery issue. Self Mastery can help you understand your motivations, triggers and habits related to procrastination and self sabotage. By better understanding yourself, you can learn how to overcome the behaviors of procrastination.
  2. Open up to your Subconscious. This is where the programming of your limiting beliefs lives. Something inside of you is telling you that this not going to happen because deep down you don’t really believe it. Opening up to your subconscious can help you overcome limiting beliefs and negative self-talk that may be holding you back. When you address those things, you attempt to change your subconscious wiring, and this can help you believe that you can do it and you become more proactive to ending self-sabotage. If these two tips alone are resonating with you, I have a resource to share with you that will help you understand how this works. This brings me to my next point.
  3. Body Cell Mastery or Breaking Cell Inertia. Earlier, I mentioned your body cells being conditioned. The truth is that environment beats will-power. Your body adapts to the environment you put it in and that’s the Law of Conformity. Law of Conformity is environment beats will power overtime. An easy way to explain this is examine which environment is your body cells conditioned to living in. If your body cells are conditioned to moving south all the time, they are not going to easily allow you to go north because they are not dressed for that weather and they enforce you to move back into the direction in which they are adapted to living in. So, when your inner programming is set one way, your cells are not equipped to move because you decided to have one change in thought for the moment. This is when the negative self-talk, self-doubt and self-sabotage creeps in and tells you to do things you normally do and not that new thing you want to do that normally do. Okay, is this making sense? I hope so. Once you understand that it’s no you. There’s nothing wrong with you. It’s just the body cells waging war against what it’s used to. Breaking Cell Inertia is something I encourage you to keep in mind when procrastination comes up. Once you move your body cells past this, it helps you overcome habits of inaction and get moving towards your goals.
  4. Engaged Neuro Conditioning. There is a saying out there that goes like, “All successful people train for the marathon, not the sprint.” Your brain must be engaged enough to attract and hold the attention of the desired goal in order to complete it. Training your brain for the long run helps you recondition your thoughts because you are now quite aware that unexpected things happen in a marathon and you engaging in the activity of allowing your brain to be re-conditioned as needed. You will be able to adapt to change and your body cells follow that adaptation. Your body cells always send messages to your brain to fit the way you think. They want to fit the clothes that they are conditioned to wearing. Be able to change the wardrobe of your body cells during the process will help you stop procrastinating.
  5. Commit to effective action. If you don’t take action once you break the cell inertia, your body cells go back to their previous default. This is part of mastering yourself. You are aware what your body is doing and telling you what not to do and you have the tools to adapt to the engagement of a different thinking pattern. Now you must act before the old thinking patterns starts to kick in again. Comitting to an effective action plan is the key to ending procrastination and self-sabotage. This involves doing the very thing you were procrastinating on from the beginning. Take action on that while your cells are agreeing. The only reason they are agreeing is because you changed your mind. In conclusion, by taking these points and making these shifts, you can develop the internal skills and the mindset necessary to overcome procrastination and self-sabotage to achieve your goals. Now, since you know this, go do that thing you have been procrastinating on because you Think Like a STAR.
  6. Celebrate Yourself. Celebrate that you now know what causes procrastination. It’s not you. You have new information that you will use forever and will help others with. Celebrate that. Download the Tips for Solopreneurs to help you after you have overcome procrastination.

“Owning Your Actions: Practical Steps to Accountability and Achieving Your Goals”

https://bit.ly/threads4stargirl

There comes a time when life becomes your responsibility and you either stay stuck or grow.

Accountability is a crucial component of personal and professional growth. It is a vital skill that helps individuals take responsibility for their actions, decisions, and outcomes, and it is a necessary step towards achieving success in all aspects of life. In this blog, we will explore five essential steps that can help you become more accountable in your personal and professional life.

Step 1: Accept Accountability (Choice)

The first step towards accountability is to accept responsibility for your actions. This means taking ownership of your mistakes, acknowledging your weaknesses, and recognizing the impact your actions have on those around you. Accepting accountability is not always easy, but it is a necessary step towards personal and professional growth.

Step 2: Conquer Your Emotions (Rule your World)

Emotions can often cloud our judgment and prevent us from taking accountability for our actions. It’s essential to learn how to manage our emotions and not let them control our actions. This means learning to be self-aware and recognizing when our emotions are getting the best of us. It also means learning to communicate effectively, even when we are feeling emotional.

Step 3: Do What You Are Afraid to Do (Step Out of Comfort Zone)

Fear can be a significant obstacle to accountability. It’s easy to avoid taking responsibility for our actions when we are afraid of the consequences. However, doing what you are afraid to do is an essential step towards accountability. It means stepping outside your comfort zone, facing your fears, and taking action despite your fears.

Step 4: Have a Wonderful Attitude (Gratitude)

Having a positive attitude is crucial when it comes to accountability. A positive attitude can help you stay motivated, even when things get tough. It can also help you stay focused on your goals and keep you moving forward, even when you encounter obstacles. A positive attitude can also help you maintain healthy relationships with those around you.

Believing in yourself is perhaps the most important step towards accountability. If you don’t believe in yourself, it’s hard to take responsibility for your actions and take the necessary steps towards personal and professional growth. Believing in yourself means recognizing your strengths, acknowledging your weaknesses, and having faith in your abilities to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.

You are Enough! No one can add to or take away from who you are. You were created enough. When you accept this my dear, you are ready to hold the account to your life. Taking accountability for your actions is an essential step towards personal and professional growth. By following these five steps, you can learn to accept responsibility for your actions, manage your emotions, face your fears, maintain a positive attitude, and believe in yourself. Remember, accountability is not always easy, but it is a necessary step towards achieving success in all aspects of life. So, take these steps, stay focused, and keep moving forward towards your goals.

5 Tips for Productivity as a Solopreneur Working from Home

As a solopreneur, working from home can be both a blessing and a curse. While you have the flexibility to work on your own terms, it can be challenging to maintain a work-life balance. Productivity is key, and implementing some simple tips can help you stay focused and achieve your goals. Here are five ways to boost your productivity while working from home:

  1. Establish a Solid Routine

Having a consistent daily routine can make a big difference in your productivity. Set a schedule and stick to it as much as possible. Plan out your daily tasks for the week and prioritize them according to importance. A solid routine can help lower your stress levels and improve your overall health.

  1. Use a Matrix To-Do List

Creating a to-do list is a great way to stay on track, but using a matrix to-do list is even more effective. Prioritize your most important tasks at the top of the list and work your way down. Income-generating activities should be at the top while less significant tasks, such as cooking dinner during work hours, should be closer to the bottom. Utilize automation to keep your to-do list at a minimum.

  1. Take Breaks

Remember to take breaks throughout the day. Outsourcing certain tasks can help you stay focused on what you need to do. Celebrate your achievements, reflect on your progress, and refresh your mind and body.

  1. Create a Designated Work Space

Designate a specific area in your home as your workspace. This helps you mentally separate your work and personal life, making it easier to focus on your tasks during work hours. It also helps ensure that your work environment is conducive to productivity.

  1. Wake Up Early

Successful people often wake up early, and for good reason. Getting up an hour earlier can create extra time in your day to accomplish more. Use this time to focus on income-generating activities, plan your day, or simply enjoy some quiet time before starting your workday.

Incorporating these five tips into your routine can help you stay focused and productive as a solopreneur working from home. Remember to prioritize your tasks, take breaks, and establish a designated workspace. With a little effort and discipline, you can achieve your goals and succeed as a solopreneur.
